Dedicated to producing and sharing research related to diversity and inclusion within the sport and physical activity context.
As part of the Center for Sport Management Research and Education at Texas A&M University, the Laboratory for Diversity in Sport is dedicated to producing and sharing research related to all forms of diversity within the sport and physical activity context.
Founded in 2003, the purpose of the Laboratory for Diversity in Sport is to examine and seek to understand how diversity and inclusion impact team and organizational performance, as well as people's affect and behaviors. Therefore, research from the Laboratory is aimed at investigating organizational and team cultures, under-represented persons and groups, diverse dyads, and individual's outcomes when surrounded by dissimilar others. Such research allows for a greater understanding of how diversity and inclusion impact individuals and teams.
